Nostalgia for the Future premieres in Cannes

The long documentary Nostalgia for the Future by director Brecht Debackere, a co-production by Visualantics (BE), Cobra Films (BE), Ghirigori (IT), and seriousFilm premieres in the 2026 Cannes Classics programme.

Guided by the voice of Charlotte Rampling, a mysterious archivist navigates the 550 boxes of Chris Marker’s estate to reconstruct a portrait of the man who chose to disappear behind his own images.
