Madness

An old film clip of a woman in an asylum sparks a personal quest by the filmmaker to understand the meaning of madness. Guided by archival images, intimate conversations and shared experiences of resistance and fragility, his path winds toward Brazil. There, he discovers that the struggle for dignified psychiatry is part of a larger social movement and a long sought sense of shared humanity.
